We’ve all been dying to see where the eccentric travel buffs Calee and Stephen will wind up next as they take their road-trip across Jamaica’s dazzling landscape to show the world just some of the attractions and fun-filled activities the “island in the sun” has to offer. A new Pon Di Road webisode premieres tomorrow on our My Jamaica YouTube Channel but just to make the wait a little easier, here’s the roundup of Pon Di Road #9!
After swimming with the dolphins and feeding the sharks at Dolphin Cove in Ocho Rios, Calee and Stephen head over to one of Jamaica’s most popular “jerked” food spots; Scotchies Jerk Centre in Drax Hall. One of the best foods to eat in Jamaica, hands down, is Jerk pork and one of the best places to sample Jerk pork is Scotchies Jerk Centre. Not to worry though, there are also delicious fish and chicken dishes available for those who are not of the pork persuasion.
If you’re unfamiliar with the term; “Jerk” is a style of cooking native to Jamaica in which meats are dry-rubbed with a very hot spice mixture called Jamaican jerk spice. Jerked food is a must-have for visitors and locals alike and if you haven’t had it yet you don’t know what you’re missing! Watch as these two eat to their heart’s content before heading on to Breezes Hotel in Trelawny for some mini golf and frolicking on the beach.
