Pon Di Road Weekly Roundup: Pon Di Road #11 – Shopping on Montego Bay’s Hip Strip

Calee and Stephen are obsessed with travelling and they’re on a quest to show the world just a small taste of all there is to do, see and taste in Jamaica. So far we’ve seen them climb the Dunn’s River Falls, go tubing on the White River, ride in an aerial canopy tour and take bobsled coaster ride through tropical rain forest (to name a few). Now it’s time to see where last week’s webisode took them in the Pon Di Road roundup!

After touring the famed (and reputedly haunted) Rose Hall Great House in Rose Hall St. James, the two head a little further West to do a little shopping on Montego Bay’s Gloucester Avenue, also known as the “Hip Strip”. The strip is home to some famous spots like Doctor’s Cave Beach, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, The Brewery, Aqua Sol Theme Park, the Blue Beat jazz lounge, the Coral Cliff Gaming Lounge and a host of great restaurants all set against a beautiful white-sand beach.

Visitors to the strip can choose from a plethora of activities in and out of the water, including: go-carting, banana-boat rides, personal-watercrafting, kayaking, pedal boats, glass bottom-boat excursions, snorkeling and beach volleyball.

With so much of Jamaica left for them to explore, where will Calee and Stephen’s adventure take us next?
Tune in to our My Jamaica YouTube Channel tomorrow at 5pm to find out!
