The event, which gave patrons the opportunity to peruse a number of booths while collecting all the information necessary for planning a dream wedding in Jamaica, kicked off on Saturday March 12 with a real live Wedding Ceremony and featured musical renditions, a workshop/seminar, a video and photography competition, exclusive hair and fashion shows and lots of giveaways, prizes and surprises throughout.
The Grand Exhibition featured bridal collections/registries, decor, cakes, floral arrangements, beauty and grooming, video and photography services, fashion shows, hair and make-up shows and more from over 50 exciting exhibitors. From fabric to jewellery, bridal registry, venues and honeymoon packages, lucky patrons had the chance to see just about everything needed to make that special Jamaican wedding absolutely perfect. Some of the fabulous venues represented included The Tryall Club, Holborn Manor, Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa, Breezes Resorts, Hedonism Resorts and Rooms Resorts.

Other notable items on display included one of the most important elements of any beautiful wedding, rings and accessories. The “American Jewelery Company” was kind enough to sponsor wedding bands for the lucky couple who were brave enough to say their vows infront of all who were in attendance. “Island Gems” displayed their custom jewelery, custom wedding bands, seating arrangement display, photo albums, customized etchings on glass and other souvenirs. “Hatitude Hats” were well received at the centre of Saturday evening’s exciting fashion show. While Sunday evening’s fashion show featured models strutting their stuff on the runway wearing gorgeous dresses from designers including “Elegant Weddings” and “Elite Upscale Bridal”.

Another important part of any wedding is the decor. From colourful multiple tiered tasty cakes to dazzling bouquets all were on display at the extravaganza. “Tai Flora Weddings” (offering event planning, bouquets, floral arrangements and decor) was among the best booths displayed as well as “Sumptuous Cakes” (cakes and floral arrangements) and “Sweetest Regards”; a company offering everything from cakes and catering to entertainment, venue sourcing, hassle free wedding planning, free consultancy and even an edible replica of the bride’s bouquet for the top layer of the wedding cake!

Photography services were also well represented and included “Photo Affair”; a portable photo booth that allows guests of the wedding to take an unlimited amount of photos for up to 4hrs. Based on your desires they also provide a slideshow and display during the event, customizable prints and customizable booths (with the couple’s image as the background). “Brian Studios” also had a stunning display of their work and was one of the most crowded booths at the event.

Crystal chandeliers were illuminated as the bridal party made its way down the white-carpeted isle during the live wedding ceremony on Saturday evening while on Sunday the lucky members of the audience were treated to live entertainment by the very talented performing arts group “Nexus” which thoroughly entertained the masses at the show. Between hair and fashion shows, giveaways, live music and absolutely stunning product displays there was more than enough excitement to go around. To add to this grand prizes for the couple wed at the event included special spa services courtesy of “Nirvana” and “Weddings on a Budget”, a giant television set from “Courts”, Diamond Wedding bands and a Weekend for Two at the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa. It’s safe to say the 16th staging of The Jamaica Pegasus Wedding Extravaganza was a delightful success.
