Prospect Plantation is an agricultural property established in the 18th Century set high up in the hills of Ocho Rios, overlooking the Caribbean sea. One of Jamaica’s oldest remaining plantations, is today the setting of one of the most unique and captivating tours worldwide. In this webisode we join Calee and Stephen on a jitney ride through the 18th century Prospect Plantation in Ocho Rios. Here they learn some of the island’s history and try their hands at climbing a coconut tree.

Calee, Stephen and baby Nyla are loving Jamaica more and more each week as their entertaining exploration of the island continues with the webisode series Pon Di Road in Jamaica. Bob Marley Museum, Kingston

The King of Reggae music and still to this day the most influential musician to come out of Jamaica is the legend, Bob Marley and a trip to Kingston is not complete without a visit to Bob Marley Museum. The museum is located on the site of the legendary musician’s home, which he purchased in 1975. This house, featuring 19th-century architecture, was Marley’s home until his death in 1981. It was converted into a museum six years later by his wife, Mrs Rita Marley. Brilliant red, green and yellow colours decorate the exterior of the creaky wooden house on 56 Hope Road where the museum is located.

Pon Di Road Weekly Roundup: Pon Di Road (Season 2) #13 – Greenwood Great House

Another week has brought us to another journey “Pon Di Road in Jamaica”. Our favourite travel family simply cannot get enough of the fun-filled family activities and attractions Jamaica has to offer. Thus far in this the second season of the popular web series we’ve seen them travel from Portland to Trelawny to explore some of the island’s off the beaten path sites and attractions and we’ve loved every minute of it.

As we count the hours to the premier of a brand new webisode, let’s take a look back at Pon Di Road (Season 2) #13 – Greenwood Great House. Jamaica’s rich history and culture are equally appealing as its white sand beaches and vibrant nightlife. Where to Visit: YS Falls, Jamaica

Jamaica’s South Coast is a destination well known for its untouched beauty and natural wonders.
