News & Updates: The Jamaica Tourist Board’s Jamaica Jazz and Blues 2012 Contest

Thousands of people from across the globe are now in Jamaica anxiously awaiting the start of the 2012 installment of the Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival. In addition to the amazing experience of witnessing legendary local and international musicians perform live the Jamaica Tourist Board has a special treat for those in attendance.

Patrons at the festival will have the chance to win hourly prizes during all three nights courtesy of the Association of Jamaica Attractions Limited (AJAL), Dolphin Cove, Dreamer Catamaran Crruises, Mystic Mountain, Captain Hook, Scotchie’s Jerk Centre, The Pelican Restaurant, Prospect Plantation, Blue Mountain Bicycle Tours and Half Moon Equestrian Centre. To be eligible for a chance to win contestants must follow @VisitJamaicaNow on Twitter and be present at Jamaica Jazz and Blues 2012 at Greenfield Stadium in Trelawny at the time of the contest.

Two (2) contests will be conducted during all three nights of Jamaica Jazz and Blues 2012. The first will be in the form of question and answer. Via Twitter three (3) questions will be asked at 9pm, 10 pm, 11pm and the first correct answer will receive a prize. The second contest is a Twitpic contest. Persons will be asked to tweet a picture of themselves with any Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) branding at the venue. The first person to Tweet their photo to @VisitJamaicaNow will be deemed the winner.

Contestants entering the Twitpic Contest have one hour (59 minutes) to enter. The contest begins at 11 pm and ends at 11:59pm. The winner will be announced at 12am (Midnight). There is no limit to the number of persons in the picture for the Twitpic Contest however only the owner/user of the winning Twitter handle will be awarded the prize. The Jamaica Tourist Board branding pictured must not be damaged in any way during the taking of the photograph.All prizes are redeemable at the Jamaica Tourist Board booth at Jamaica Jazz and Blues 2012.   1. Celine Dion’s performance in 2012 was epic! The 2014 line-up looks equally as special from the acts released so far.
