Special Feature: Jamaica Jazz and Blues 2012 – REWIND

In January of this year Jamaica welcomed thousands of music lovers to the island’s shores for the hugely popular Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival. This annual event is known for offering a thrilling line-up of international and well-known Jamaican artistes showcasing several genres of music, such as Country, Jazz, Rhythm & Blues Alternative, Rock and Reggae.

With such a stellar line-up including multi-platinum, five-time Grammy award-winning singer Celine Dion, Cee Lo Green, Temptations, Nicole Henry, Jully Black, Shaggy, Luciano, Half Pint, Yellowman, Richie Stephens and Gentleman this year’s festival did not disappoint. As a way of reliving the experience of seeing these legendary local and international musicians perform live on that stage the Jamaica Tourist Board will be having an online ‘Mini Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival’!

Events: Bob Marley Documentary- “Marley” Premiere Locations

The highly anticipated documentary on the life, music and legacy of reggae superstar Bob Marley will make its debut this week. The film, directed by Kevin MacDonald, will be showcased in a special preview screening on April 19, 2012 in Kingston at the Emancipation Park at 8pm.

The official release of the film in theatres, on demand and on Facebook takes place the following day, April 20, 2012. You won’t want to miss “Marley”, which features rare footage, performances and interviews of the legend. The complete TIME 100 list will be chosen by the publication’s editors and revealed on TIME.com on Tuesday, April 17.
