Our favourite travel couple Calee and Stephen have come to the end of their Jamaican adventure (for now). For months we’ve watched them experience everything from climbing the cascading Dunn’s River Falls in Ocho Rios, to tubing on the White River, swimming with the dolphins at Dolphin Cove, parasailing at Cosmo’s Beach in Negril, touring the haunted rooms of the Rose Hall Great House in Montego Bay, riding in an aerial canopy tour and taking a bobsled coaster ride through a tropical rainforest at Mystic Mountain and so much more. Pon Di Road Weekly Roundup: Pon Di Road #17- In Junction

Calee and Stephen are an eccentric pair of travel enthusiasts hell bent on uncovering just about every Jamaican travel treasure and sharing their adventures with the whole world. With so many wonderful things to experience on this deceptively small island we can’t say that we blame them (or that we mind). Pon Di Road Weekly Roundup: Pon Di Road #15 – Visit to Cosmo’s Beach

Our favourite travel couple are at it again! They’re determined to do, see and taste just about everything Jamaican, while sharing their exciting experiences with the world. After the adrenaline rush of watersliding at Kool Runnings Water Park, partying at The Jungle and cliff diving at Rick’s Cafe Calee and Stephen head for a generally more laid back favourite Negril spot, Cosmo’s Beach. Just in case you missed the latest “Pon Di Road” webisode, here is the roundup.

Cosmo’s is a Restaurant and Bar located on Negril’s famous seven-mile beach and is a steadfast beach favourite for anyone visiting Negril. Cosmo’s specialises in fresh locally caught fish dishes such as fried fish and festival or steamed fish and bammy. A particular specialty is the conch which is served steamed, curried or served in soup. Lobster and shrimp dishes are also available and there is always a pot of the meat option (such as oxtail or curried goat) on the stove.

Pon Di Road Weekly Roundup: Pon Di Road # 14 – From the Jungle to the Pushcart

We know you’ve been waiting for it and it’s finally here! The weekly “Pon Di Road” roundup, when we catch up with what travel addicts Calee and Stephen have been up to on their exciting adventures across Jamaica. In the last few weeks we’ve seen them soak up the fun at the Kool Runnings Water Park in Negril and just last week we witnessed Stephen repeatedly dive 35 feet from the cliffs at Rick’s Cafe in Negril into the warm turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea below.

In the latest webisode Stephen and Calee take to the dancefloor at Negril’s most popular night club, boasting “the best dance floor in Negril” The Jungle, where the party doesn’t stop until 4 am.

After getting down at the club the two get some delectable Jamaican food at Negril’s Pushcart Restaurant & Rum Bar, located at Pirate’s Cave on The West End Cliffs of Negril. Complete with live music every night and a menu “inspired by the street food of Jamaica” this restaurant is a local favourite.

Pon Di Road Weekly Roundup: Pon Di Road #13 – Rick’s Cafe

There’s never a dull moment when Stephen and Calee are on the loose, they just can’t get enough of Jamaica’s wide range of exciting attractions. When we last saw them they were sliding down the waterslides at Kool Runnings Water Park in Negril, the only one of it’s kind in the Caribbean. Now, on the brink of tomorrow’s premiere of Pon Di Road webisode #14, here’s the roundup of “Pon Di Road #13 – Rick’s Cafe”!

Rick’s Cafe in Negril is famous for its great food, its unrivaled view of the sunset and above all it’s cliff diving. You can either watch the professional cliff jumping displays or participate yourself if you’re feeling the daredevil spirit. Countless visitors and locals have jumped or dived from the cliff and into the crystalline water below. The highest platform jump is 35 feet and ensures the thrill of a lifetime, though some choose to jump from even higher points from tree limbs. Let’s watch how far these two go.

Pon Di Road Weekly Roundup: Pon Di Road #11 – Shopping on Montego Bay’s Hip Strip

Calee and Stephen are obsessed with travelling and they’re on a quest to show the world just a small taste of all there is to do, see and taste in Jamaica. So far we’ve seen them climb the Dunn’s River Falls, go tubing on the White River, ride in an aerial canopy tour and take bobsled coaster ride through tropical rain forest (to name a few). Now it’s time to see where last week’s webisode took them in the Pon Di Road roundup!

After touring the famed (and reputedly haunted) Rose Hall Great House in Rose Hall St. James, the two head a little further West to do a little shopping on Montego Bay’s Gloucester Avenue, also known as the “Hip Strip”. The strip is home to some famous spots like Doctor’s Cave Beach, Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville, The Brewery, Aqua Sol Theme Park, the Blue Beat jazz lounge, the Coral Cliff Gaming Lounge and a host of great restaurants all set against a beautiful white-sand beach.

Pon Di Road Weekly Roundup: Pon Di Road # 10 – Outameni Experience

Travel enthusiasts Calee and Stephen just can’t get enough of Jamaica’s wide array of sites, attractions, activities and food and they’re determined to show the world as much of what the island has to offer as they possibly can! After eating to their heart’s content at Scotchies Jerk Centre in Drax Hall in Pon Di Road #9, the dazzling duo explore Jamaica’s rich history and cultural diversity in Pon Di Road #10. After a having a blast at Outameni Experience, Calee and Stephen head to the famous Rose Hall Great House to hear the legend of the mysterious “White Witch of Rose Hall”, Annie Palmer. During her reign as mistress of the historic plantation, Annie did away with her first husband John Rose Palmer, two more husbands and countless lovers. Her cruelty, however, came to an end in 1831, when she was found strangled in her bedroom at the Great House.

Pon Di Road Weekly Roundup: Pon Di Road #9 Scotchies

We’ve all been dying to see where the eccentric travel buffs Calee and Stephen will wind up next as they take their road-trip across Jamaica’s dazzling landscape to show the world just some of the attractions and fun-filled activities the “island in the sun” has to offer. A new Pon Di Road webisode premieres tomorrow on our My Jamaica YouTube Channel but just to make the wait a little easier, here’s the roundup of Pon Di Road #9!

After swimming with the dolphins and feeding the sharks at Dolphin Cove in Ocho Rios, Calee and Stephen head over to one of Jamaica’s most popular “jerked” food spots; Scotchies Jerk Centre in Drax Hall. One of the best foods to eat in Jamaica, hands down, is Jerk pork and one of the best places to sample Jerk pork is Scotchies Jerk Centre. Not to worry though, there are also delicious fish and chicken dishes available for those who are not of the pork persuasion.
